October is the Month of the Holy Rosary, and Gus is celebrating it throughout the month. Today, he talks about using the Rosary as a decoration; that is, people who do things like wear it around their necks or hang it on their rearview mirrors. Gus invites listeners to call in and share their thoughts on that.
Later, Gus is joined by his old friend Blair Holtey, who is a Catholic chaplain and a longtime member of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. He talks with Gus about his personal experiences as a chaplain and how men can become one. He also discusses the upcoming 60th anniversary of the NACC and how the organization is commemorating the occasion.
And last month marked the fifth anniversary of when Gus’ bride, Michelle, and her sisters put their mother in a nursing home. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but the right one because she needed round-the-clock care. Gus invites listeners who’ve had similar experiences to call in and share their stories and how things turned out.
