Gus is joined in studio by Jeff Joaquin, noted Catholic speaker and the subject of the new documentary “How to Save a Life,” which dropped just this morning on YouTube, and in which Gus participated. It tells his story, which begins with taking his girlfriend to an abortion facility to abort their unborn son. He shares his powerful story of accepting God’s love and mercy and how he’s turned that into a ministry, and who he hopes his documentary will reach.
Afterwards, Gus talks about Jeff Joaquin’s transformation from a participant in an abortion to a pro-life advocate whose ministry is to dissuade men and women from having abortions. He invites listeners whose minds have changed similarly to call in and share their stories.
When my wife and I first married we joined our church in praying across the street from an abortion clinic. An angry pro-choice woman got right up in my face and asked what I was doing to help the situation. I began to explain about various ministries to help, and she pointed her finger at me and asked: “What are YOU doing to help”. I realized then and there that if I was not part of the solution, then I was part of the problem. My wife and I signed up with a Christian adoption agency and adopted two children who were rescued from abortion. They are now 34 and 31.
