Yesterday, Gus talked with listeners who’ve been challenged over their Catholic faith. One caller spoke about how her husband of 48 years consistently challenges her on her faith, which really weighs on her. Gus invites listeners who are in mixed-faith marriages to call in and share their experiences.

Also, Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN calls in from Baltimore when the annual November USCCB Meetings are taking place. Yesterday, they elected a new president and vice-president. Archbishop Paul Coakley, of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was elected as the former, and Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville, Texas was elected as the latter. Dr. Bunson talks about how the main discussions have centered around immigration enforcement and deportation by the Trump Administration and assuring that those being held for removal are being treated humanely and receiving the sacraments if they so desire. They wrap it up talking about Pope Leo XIV’s first six months in office. Afterwards, Gus invites listeners to call in and talk about how important their bishop, or a bishop, is in their faith lives.

And Gus reads and reflects on a story about a horrific trend in the U.K., where a company called Blossom is turning unused frozen embryos into jewelry and keepsakes. Lila Rose broke the news on her Live Action X page, calling it “dystopian.” Gus talks about how macabre, gross actions like this are why the Catholic Church is against IVF.
