A couple of days ago, the National Catholic Register published an article that focused on how it’s becoming a much less common occurrence for priests to be called in times of accidents and emergencies. Gus invites listeners who’ve called a priest to an emergency and share that experience.

Also, Catholic author Dawn Beutner calls in to talk about the incredible witness of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. She is the editor of the Ignatius Press book, “All Things Are Possible: The Selected Writings of Mother Cabrini,” and she talks about how the Italian saint blazed a path of evangelization in the late-18th and early-19th centuries, spreading love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and establishing 67 schools, hospitals and orphanages. She also talks about how she dodged death several times in her life.

Gus also recaps the USCCB November Meetings and goes over some of the documents that have come out of them, including a pastoral message on immigration that opposes indiscriminate deportation.

And Bob Dunning calls in to talk about the current college football playoff rankings and predict the winners of this weekend’s biggest games.
