Gus talks about a parish in the Diocese of Trenton, New Jersey that, last week, posted on its Web site that the Sacrament of Reconciliation, aka Confession, would only be available for those who've received the COVID vaccine. After the diocese got in touch with the pastor, the announcement was deleted. Gus talks about how this vaccinated vs. unvaccinated segregation is creeping its way into our culture and into the Church. He gets listener reaction.
Later, Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in to give an update on his food truck, Plating Grace & Grub, which met its financial goal last week. Fr. Leo talks about the spiritual mission of the food truck and his plans on when he's going to roll it out. He and Gus also discuss the priesthood, which celebrates its establishment by Jesus on Holy Thursday.
And, based on yesterday's conversation about the decline in mass attendance, Gus asks listeners to call in and talk about why they're Catholic.
Thank you Linda from an urgent care in NJ. Very informative. The very problem is educating our communities, constant discussion, learning from some logical truth. The problem is we are o my told what we need to know. I strongly feel too down in this world the truth of this pandemic is not available to the people. The truth that could set us free is not available. With this segregation, hate in groups, violence and u educated policies are administered.
