Gus talks about a story he posted on his Facebook page yesterday about President Donald Trump stopping by a Protestant church in Northern Virginia following a golf outing. The president asked Pastor David Platt to pray over him for the victims of the Virginia Beach shooting last Friday. The pastor caught some heat from some of his parishioners and apologized that some of them were hurt by it. Gus gets listener reaction.

Also, Gus talked to a friend the other day who told him about how his parents got divorced when he was young and how they stopped going to mass regularly. Gus invites listeners to come on and share how their divorce or their parents' divorce affected them.

It’s always important to remember the President of the United States in our prayers, regardless of political party. I pray for all Presidents, that they may lead in wisdom and strength. After all, our fate hinges on their success.

I am not a fan of President Trump, but I pray for him, namely to make sound decisions, get some class, some character, bring back the dignity of the Office of the President that he lost in the past two years. I think that the pastor was obligated to pray over him. I don’t hate Trump, but even if you do, should you not pray for your enemies?
