Gus talks about how his 60 Second Reflection title “The Grudge Pact” was inspired over an agreement he had with his late sister Nancy. He reminisces about her, and how she spent her final days with him and Michelle as she was dying of cancer. He remembers that she was a great nickname giver and shares a few examples. He invites listeners to call in and share their nickname stories.
Later, Gus continues revisiting his audio book version of “Magnetic Christianity: Using Your God-Given Gifts to Build the Kingdom,” which he wrote around this time of year back in 2012. Today, he plays the chapter on Kindness.
And Bob Dunning calls in for the first time since before Gus’ knee surgery and he and Gus talk about what original body parts they’re missing from various surgeries. Gus also recalls his “divine appointment” story from before his surgery and asks Bob if he’s ever had one.
