Gus talks about the passage of the NY State Abortion bill, which is extreme to say the least. He goes over what the bill mandates and reads the response from the Catholic Conference of New York as well as the letter Albany Bishop Edward Scharfenberger wrote to Governor Andrew Cuomo urging him not to put into law this "death star." Cuomo has been very visceral in his support of abortion and has cited his Catholic faith and even quoted Pope Francis in defense of the bill. It prompts Gus to talk about the reaction of many Catholics in that politicians who publicly support abortion should be excommunicated.

Gus also reads the latest statement from the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky and opens the phones up to get more reaction from callers about the Covington Catholic High School situation.

Later, Solidarity HealthShare CEO Bradley Hahn calls in to talk about their health care sharing ministry, which facilitates the voluntary sharing of money among its members to pay for eligible medical expenses.

Thank you for calling attention to the Archbishop of Albany’s statement. I found it online and read it carefully. Praise God that we have such forthright leaders in our church, speaking truth to earthly power.

Thank you Gus for your strong faith and boldness in speaking out on such serious and difficult topics such as abortion. May God bless you and your family. In regards to Cuomo, his ‘catholic faith’ and bill passed, I just need to quite my priest on this past Sunday’s homily…”give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and give to God what belongs to God”. We are not of this world, we belong to God if we say we are Catholics and truly believe in our faith. With that said, Cuomo is not being true to his faith and, can derail many young Catholics or anyone yet struggling with their faith. Blessings always🙏🏽
