Today was Phase III of Project Christmas, which featured the Children's Dream Fund. In a little under and hour, we were able to raised over $14,000 to fulfill the dreams of two sick kids. If you were unable to call in and pledge but you'd still like to donate, you can do so here.
Also, today is the Feast of St. John of the Cross and Gus shares his incredible story, which included being imprisoned by his own order after seeking to reform it. It led to his seminal work, "The Dark Night of the Soul."
Afterwards, Gus tells a crazy story about his daughter almost getting scammed by someone claiming to be from the Hillsborough County Sherrif's Office. She told Gus the person on the other end of the phone, who claimed to be a high-ranking member, was very convincing but things began to fall apart when he began to barter for the price of her bail and got completely unraveled when she told him she needed to call her attorney.
