Gus talks about how, because of the impending Hurricane Helene, he’s been watching a lot of local news for weather coverage. Since we’re in the middle of campaign season in an election year, he’s been seeing a lot of ads for Amendment 4 in Florida, which, if passed, will legalize abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. He talks about how deceitful many of the “Vote Yes” ads are, and plays an example, and how each side of the argument are accusing each other of misinformation and disinformation. There are approximately nine other states with abortion initiatives on the ballot and invites listeners to call in and talk about what they’re seeing and hearing in their states.

Later, Fr. Michael-Joseph Paris calls in to talk about a podcast he’s hosting for Ascension Press, which focuses on St. Therese of Lisieux’s autobiography, “Story of a Soul.” It’s part of their Catholic Classics series and Fr. Michael-Joseph shares some of what listeners can expect. He also shares his vocation story.

And Bob Dunning calls into the show to talk about some big college football games this weekend, including Georgia vs. Alabama and Louisville vs. Notre Dame. Gus and Bob also talk about Hurricane Helene, which is now off the east coast of Florida. Bob talks about how the biggest natural threat in California is earthquakes and Gus shares that he’d rather deal with a hurricane than an earthquake.
