Gus has an open forum and invites listeners to call in and talk to him about whatever is on their minds. We hear a lot of questions surrounding the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade as well as some questions about proving Jesus existed, not being perfect during Lent and some good news about people who entered the Catholic Church this past Easter vigil.
Also, since Seize the Day will not be live tomorrow, Gus does his Friday Prayer Time and Friday w/the Fathers today. With the ladder, he continues Lactantius' Divine Institutions.
I listen to Gus Lloyd in the mornings after I take my son to school. Gus asked if anyone had a feeling of being sent by Holy Spirit. I have a handful of those experiences, and ask if you’ll let me share two….
I was able to find two very nice button down church shirts for my son at Salvation Army after asking for divine intervention weeding through t-shirts. We were low on funds, but I had $10 in my pocket. The shirts were $5 each. I still took them to the register, and the total was $7 after an unmarked sale.
The second time is when a friend’s daughter was leaving her mother’s book store and I was just pulling in. I asked her to roll down the window and I handed her $10. She tried to tell me she couldn’t take it, but I told her it wasn’t from me and to keep it. She thanked me and left. I went inside the store and told her mom what I did. She thought it was because her daughter asked for $10. I said no, I just felt called to give her the $10. Her mom then told me she wouldn’t give her daughter $10 and if she really needed it, she’d have to pray about it. Her daughter left the store mad because her mom wouldn’t give her the $10.
We don’t always recognize or understand why we are called to do something outside of our comfort zone.
