Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN calls in from Rome. He talks about how Italy is only now beginning to loosen its COVID restrictions. He and Gus also discuss Pope Francis' ailing knee and the leaked Supreme Court document that allegedly overturns Roe v. Wade and some of the various political responses.
Afterwards, Gus opens up the phones and gets listener opinion on the leaked Supreme Court document and the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade.
And later Gus is joined by Anneliese Amburn in the Conversion Corner. Anneliese is an RCIA coordinator at the Catholic Center at Harvard University and she shares how she grew up atheist and searched for meaning in nihilism and other irreligious philosophies. She eventually become open to God when she reached a dark place that manifested itself in chain-smoking and drug use and had an encounter with God when she retreated to her parents' home and took at walk with them to St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts. She tells Gus and the listeners the rest of the story.
