Gus talks about today’s Gospel reading where several scribes and Pharisees ask Jesus for a sign and he replies, “No sign will be given except the sign of Jonah.” Gus explains that Jesus was the sign, but further explains that asking for a sign from God in a humble manner to bolster your faith in him, is not bad and he invites listeners who’ve received signs from God to call in and share.
Also, Gus is joined by Sister Betty Ann McNeil, the editor of a new book called “Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton: A Spiritual Portrait.” Sister Betty Ann is a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, and she tells a brief rendition of her vocation story and a little about the mission of her order. She and Gus talk about the life and legacy of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American born saint, and how we’re approaching the 50th anniversary of her canonization, which Sister Betty Ann actually attended.
And it's Monday, so Gus sets aside some time for "Tell Me Something Good" with listeners.
