Gus is joined by Fr. John Hollowell, a priest in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, who gained a little bit of notoriety in 2019 for some of his homilies and talks that were posted on YouTube. Shortly after that, on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Last week, he announced that the tumor was no more and believes that he was cured while visiting Lourdes. He shares with Gus the treatment he endured and how he offered his sufferings up to God for the victims of clergy sexual abuse and how this whole experience has changed him for the better.
Later, Gus talks about the Great Purge that's currently going on in his home as he and Michelle are getting ready to install new flooring. He says that, as he goes through his old stuff, he's only keeping items that either have significant sentimental value or actual monetary value. Gus invites listeners to call in if they've ever found something of significant financial value going through their old junk or perhaps going through the items of a loved one.
He also does a round of Tell Me Something Good and replays his Friday interview with Mark Houck who was found not guilty of violating the FACE Act last week.
