Gus plays audio from a social media video that's gone viral called "Kids Meet Someone Who's Had an Abortion." It's part of a series of videos where kids are introduced to people from all walks of life, mostly caught up in the social issues of the day. In this video, three kids talk with Amelia Bonow about her abortion and why it's OK and why she's proud of it. Gus breaks it down, counters much of the doublespeak, pedantry and euphemisms Ms. Bonow elicits and talks about it with listeners.
Gus also does some Friday Prayer Time and reads the letter of Pope Francis to the U.S. bishops who are on retreat.
And, Monday is the end of the college football season. Bob Dunning calls in to give predictions on the championship game between Alabama and Clemson. They also look back on the 2018 season, some of its surprises and the annual coaching carousel that typically occurs around this time.
I cannot believe the way this video was presented. It made me sick because it was like the subject was was made in a comedic way. So sick that a woman can talk that way about an abortion like a dental procedure. God bless her soul and the soul of the child she aborted.

I couldn’t call in to comment this morning because I’m at work, but I wonder why we couldn’t counter these videos with “Why I chose life in trying times”. I would be more than willing to give my story about choosing to give birth and a loving home to our daughter with spina bifida, despite the cultural leaning toward aborting babies with her condition. Let’s share the other side of the story with our young people!
