Catholic author Patti Maguire Armstrong calls in to talk about a new book she co-authored called "What Would Monica Do?" Not only does it tell the story of St. Monica who prayed 17 long years for the conversion of her debaucherous son Augustine. He later went on to become Augustine, bishop of Hippo and later St. Augustine, a doctor of the Catholic Church. Her book speaks to parents whose children no longer practice their faith and what we can do as parents on the proactive and prayerful sides.
Also, Gus welcomes Shirley Hoogstra to the program. She is the president of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and talks with Gus about their response to the LGBTQ+ ideological onslaught of colleges and universities and their program to provide education for incarcerated men and women and for people recently released from prison.
In today's Friday w/the Fathers, Gus reads and reflects from St. Athanasius' Letter to Epictetus of Corinth and also prays an Intentional Rosary with listeners for Prayer Time.
