Today is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The term "cross" not only defines the instrument on which Jesus was crucified but is also used to describe our trials here on earth. Gus invites listeners to call in and describe the metaphorical crosses they carry and how they got through it or are getting through it. Later,
Gus talks with listeners about physical crosses. For nearly 2,000 years, the cross, or the crucifix, has been the chief symbol of Christianity everywhere. Gus invites listeners to call in and talk about a cross or a crucifix that they have in their home or on their person.
Also, Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN News calls in to talk about Catholic news headlines, including Pope Francis' trip to Kazakhstan that's currently underway and provides the latest on the German Synodal Way.

Gus, on Wednesday, Sept 14th you mentioned 1 Corinthians while discussing the cross and how each of us bears a cross in life. What chapter and verse did you mention? I was driving and couldn’t write it down to share with my husband. We had talked about something similar and this fit our conversation but once I got home, I had forgotten the chapter and verse.

Thank you for all you do for all of us. You are a blessing!

    Kind Regards,
    Stella

    Good Morning!
This morning you played the most incredible Stabat Mater I have ever heard! Thank you!
Would you share who the vocalist is?
