Today is the Feast of St. John Chrysostom. Gus talks about the saint's legacy as one of the greatest homilists in Church history and reads an excerpt from one of his homilies about confession. Gus also talks about how his last name meant "golden-mouthed," because of him being a great orater. He invites listeners to call in and talk about what their name means.
Also, Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in to chat with Gus about several things including the importance of water in not only our physical life but our spiritual side life as well. Fr. Leo says that water is very important in pizza a dough, which launches into a discussion of what city has the best pizza. Later, they talk about reading Scripture in your spiritual life and how sports has become a religion in our culture and what is the proper balance.
