One of Gus and Michelle’s keepsakes is a letter from February 27, 1980, which documents their completion of pre-Cana, aka Catholic marriage prep. Gus fully admits that it was cursory at best, and the two wouldn’t convert for several more years. He doesn’t even remember anything specific that they did to fulfill the requirements. He invites listeners who remember their marriage prep to call in and talk about it.

Afterwards, Gus is joined by Catholic author Gabe Castillo, who calls in to discuss his new book, “The Power of the Rosary.” Gabe gives a powerful witness of the awesome power of the Rosary and how those who pray it regularly will not be bogged down in mortal sin. He also traces the Rosary’s origins from Scripture through Our Lady’s appearances to St. Dominic, at Lourdes and other places, and how it’s more than just a prayer. It’s a weapon.

And Bob Dunning calls in a day early because he and his wife are heading out of town tomorrow to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Afterwards, they talk about name mispronunciations before finally getting around to talking about college football. They talk about USF’s upset of the Florida Gators last week and predict the winner of their game this weekend with Miami. They also discuss the number of massive blowouts last weekend, including the team Bob covers, UC-Davis, who lost 70-10 to Washington.
