Gus talks about how he is heartsick this morning over the Midterm Elections and not because of any party result but more over the solid recognition that the United States is addicted to abortion. Several states, including Michigan and Vermont, voted yes on measures to enshrine abortion into their state constitutions. Gus invites listeners to call and share their feelings about yesterday's election.
Later, Fr. Ezra Sullivan calls in to talk about his new book "Alter Christus: Priestly Holiness on Earth and in Eternity" from Sophia Institute Press. He talks about how it's a book not only for priests but for laity as well.

I was heart broken to hear the young lady who called in and said she is personally opposed, but politically support abortion. She said we don’t know all the circumstances, etc etc. When we have moral issues, there are absolutes. (The life of the mother has always been accepted by the church and medicine). Is child molestation acceptable, or satanic human sacrifice depending on the perpetrators ‘circumstance’? What about other forms of murder? We don’t judge the sinner, but there are moral absolutes that dictate our actions, laws and norms. God Bless the USA!
