Gus is joined by Fr. Leo Patalinghug and the two talk about a multitude of things, including their Danube River Pilgrimage in September and the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis' pontificate. Fr. Leo calls him a pope of our times and shares his thoughts on his tenure. They also talk about the conclusion of the German Synodal Way, which approved things that go against Church teaching, including same-sex blessings and ordination of women to the diaconate. Fr. Leo calls it the Church in Germany trying to fit in to secular society and says that we must be in the world but not of the world and we need to continue to pray for the Church around the world. Also, Gus talks with Fr. Leo about his new book, "Dining with the Saints: The Sinner's Guide to a Righteous Feast" and shares his recipe for St. Joseph's bread.
Afterwards, Gus gives away a few free copies of Fr. Leo's new book and also invites listeners to call in and talk about what saint they'd like to have over for dinner and what they would cook for him or her.
Later, Gus talks about how he and his bride Michelle have taken up bowling and that, recently, Michelle bowled her first 200 game. He asks listeners to call in and talk about an activity they do with their spouse.
