Gus is joined by Fr. Goyo Hidalgo who just released a memoir entitled "From Prodigal to Priest: A Journey Home to Family, Faith and the Father's Embrace," which tells his conversion story. Fr. Goyo grew up in Spain in a faithful family but gradually fell away after going away to college and fell into the sin of excess. He shares his remarkable turnaround, which led to his vocation to the priesthood.
Also, based on today's Gospel where Jesus tells Peter that we are to forgive those who have sinned against us infinitely, just like our father in heaven, Gus invites listeners who've been through divorce, either themselves or with their parents, to call in and talk about how they arrived at forgiveness or if they're still struggling with it.
And Gus reads an Op-Ed piece written by Cardinal Timothy Dolan that appeared in this past Sunday's edition of the Wall Street Journal, entitled "If You Want Inclusion, I've Got a List" and gives his thoughts on the victim mentality that has permeated our culture.
