Gus is in Salzburg, Germany today for the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, as the Danube River Cruise/Pilgrimage winds down. Gus talks about the important role the saint has played in his life and then describes their experience in Salzburg, the setting for the musical play and film "The Sound of Music."
Later, Gus gathers all the pilgrims together and goes around the room with his microphone asking them random questions and wraps up today's show by talking with veteran Seize the Day pilgrims Deacon Bill and Patty Rimmert from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Also, there are a wealth of moving experiences people go through on pilgrimage and Gus incorporates this into a teaching of the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit for the pilgrims.
Transcripts of the show are not available, Martin. You can listen again with Sirius XM On Demand.
Kindly send me the transcript from this morning’s show from 8:00 to 8:30, with Gus reflecting on how we can reawaken the spirit of others to rediscover our faith and go to mass on a regular basis.
As Father’s Day is the Sunday I would like to remind my grown children of this. Also as a leader of the Knights of Columbus I would like to speak to my councils reminding them to seek brothers who have fallen away from Christ’s teachings.
Thank you,
Martin
