Gus is a believer in New Year's resolutions and part of that is giving himself a Scriptural resolution. His method is to read the New Testament  until something strikes him, or, in his own words, "God hits me on the head with a 2 x 4." This year, his Scriptural New Year's Resolution is 1 Timothy, Chapter 6: 11-12, which reads:

But you, man of God, avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

Compete well for the faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called when you made the noble confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Gus also picks 15 others to dole out to listeners who call in.

Thank you so much for posting these. I heard some today in the car but couldn’t write any of them down. Looking forward to seeing which one of these passages “speaks to me” for my spiritual New Year’s resolution!

I’m able to enthusiastically listen as I’m driving most mornings I’m not one for social media. What is the easiest and best way to connect via the internet but not through Twitter etc.
