He also talks about the incredible enrollment uptick Catholic schools have received over the course of the pandemic mostly attributed to their commitment to in-person learning. Also, today is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas. It celebrates when the Blessed Virgin Mary presented herself in the temple 40 days after the birth of Jesus in order to be purified. For centuries, the Catholic Church has blessed candles on this day, giving in the name Candlemas, because it symbolizes Christ being the light to the nations. Gus invites listeners to call in and talk about articles they've had blessed.
