Gus talks about today’s Gospel reading, where an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him not to take Mary into his home. Joseph was thinking about divorcing her quietly when he discovered she was pregnant despite them not consummating their marriage yet. The angel told him the child came from God. Gus talks about how, one year ago next month, he experienced incredible pain for several weeks caused by the shingles. During that time, he had several incredible, vivid dreams that he believes came from God. He asks any listeners who believe God came to them in a dream to call in and share their stories.
Later, Gus is joined by Tom Brejcha, founder, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society, calls in to talk about a few of the cases their working on. Currently, they’re in federal court in Atlanta arguing on behalf of the pro-life organization Florida Preborn Rescue who are challenging the state of Florida’s unconstitutional speech-censoring buffer zone law. Also, today, they’ll be testifying before Congress on the Biden Administration’s dangerous weaponization of the FACE Act.
And since tomorrow is our annual Seize the Day Office Christmas Party and the final phase of 2024’s Project Christmas, Bob Dunning joins Gus today. They talk about Bob’s one-word response when Gus asked him to come on today instead of tomorrow, which was “sure.” They also talk about the use of certain punctuation like exclamation, semi colons and the Army v. Navy game among other things.
