The Pontifical Missions Society USA has launched a prayer campaign so that people can pray for a specific cardinal-elector in the upcoming papal conclave by name. Gus decides to participate in this with his listeners by inviting them to call in and gives each their own cardinal for whom to pray.
Later, Catholic author Kevin Wells calls in from Ars, France to talk about his new book, “Coached by the Cure: Lessons in Shepherding with St. John Vianney." Kevin talks about how he wrote this in the saint’s voice and that he initially struggled with it. In the book, he translates the saint’s message to our modern times and directs it toward the many parents whose children walk away from the faith.
And Gus shares some pro-life news update on the abortion pill mifepristone. A recent study published by the Ethics and Public Policy Center on April 28th shows that nearly 11% of women suffer at least one “serious adverse event” within 45 days of taking the drug for an abortion.
