In honor of All Saints Day, Gus invites listeners to call in and talk about three saints they'd like to spend the day with and/or who was their confirmation saint.

Also, Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in and chats with Gus a lot about saints, including saints and what they are and the different ways they're addressed. He also talks about the saints who've been important to him through the various stages of his life.

And Gus talks about Detroit Archbishop Allen Vigneron's letter to all parishioners regarding Michigan's Proposal 3, which seeks to take parenting rights away and make that state an abortion tourism destination.

Would love to call in but I do not speak well. My favorite saint is Thorlak of Iceland, who himself had a significant speech impairment, and who is known for being especially merciful and welcoming to people who were marginalized during his lifetime (1133-1193). I would love to sit and enjoy his company, even if neither of us opted to speak! In recent years, St. Thorlak has increasingly become a favorite patron saint to autistic and neurodiverse people. He is certainly a friend to our family. God bless!
