Yesterday after the show, Gus had to go to the dentist to get a root canal done as he'd been in immense pain all weekend with a toothache and recounts a religious discussion he had with the dentist's assistant, Kristine with a K, while prepping for the procedure. After she asked what he did for a living, and Gus telling her he hosts a daily talk show on the Catholic Channel, she began telling him about her faith life.
During their conversation, it came to light that Kristine does a version of Bible Roulette every day and so Gus does just that with listeners. Today, he uses the entire New Testament.
Also, Gus talks about how he experienced a miracle Sunday morning. He was suffering from a terrible toothache and, for a little while after consuming the Eucharist, the pain subsided. He asks listeners if they've ever experience a miracle like that.
