Gus talks about the word “bro,” or more commonly, “bruh,” at least among our youth these days. Gus shares a story about his grandson calling Michelle “bruh” over the weekend. For him, it was a bridge too far. It’s a word he’d love to eliminate from the English language and he invites listeners to call in and share what word or phrase they’d like eliminated.

Also, Andrew Hansen, the communications director of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois and the co-host of its podcast ""Deep Dive" calls in to talk about their new documentary “God is Alive, Part II.” Like its predecessor, it focuses on the influence of the Catholic faith on the Midwestern portion of the United States and Andrew, along with his co-host, Fr. Michael Trummer, explore parishes and religious orders in Illinois and Missouri. The documentary is now streaming on YouTube and is available to everyone.

Gus also gets into some new Catholic numbers from a recent the Cultural Research Center involving peoples’ beliefs on the core doctrine of the Trinity. According to the survey, only 9% of American Catholics believe in the existence and influence of the Holy Trinity. Gus goes over reasons why that might be and other interesting things brought to light by this survey.
