In one of Gus' conversations with listeners last week, a listener used that familiar old line "God has a sense of humor." Gus believes that is very true and gives a couple examples where they revealed itself in his own life and then invites listeners to call in and share a story where God showed his sense of humor.
Also, in today's First Reading, Barnabas is one of the main figures, where, in the midst of a great Christian persecution in Israel and surrounding areas, apostles and disciples were still preaching the Gospel and encouraging others who were fearful. In fact, the name Barnabas means "son of encouragement." Gus invites listeners to call in and share who in their lives has been their chief encourager in the faith.
