Gus and Michelle are doing a road trip next month, so he changed the oil in his car. He did it by himself and didn’t go to his local mechanic or Jiffy Lube. It’s something he was taught by his dad when he was 15 and still does today. He asks listeners if there’s a skill that their parents, or someone else, passed along to them that they, in turn, have passed along to others.

Later, Gus is joined by Fr. John Paul Kern, O.P. The Dominican friar talks about the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage coming up at the end of this month. He talks about the pilgrimage’s history and purpose and also shares a little of his vocation story, the mission of the Order of Preachers (aka the Dominicans) and the purpose of praying the Rosary.

And Gus is joined by Bob Dunning for their regular weekly segment. Today is Bob’s birthday, so Gus busts on him for being old and they talk about gift-giving and its positives and negatives. Later, they talk about the return of the Pac-12 and go over some of this weekend's biggest college football games and pick winners.
