Today is Friday the 13th, which for centuries has been considered unlucky or a bad omen. Gus talks about superstition in our culture and talks about the Catholic Church’s teaching on it. The Church has always discouraged superstition and many of the practices against it.
Also, today is the Feast of St. John Chrysostom, bishop, who is lived in the 4th and 5th centuries A.D. and is considered one of the Church fathers. For today's edition of Friday w/the Fathers, Gus goes back and reads and reflects on some of his writings and homilies.
And it's Friday, so that means Gus dedicates some time for Prayer Time with listeners.
