Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in to talk about a number of Catholic things, including the challenges of work and running a business. He talks about some of the frustrations and challenges he deals with regularly employing young people and how, in his opinion, the breakdown of the family has led to the breakdown in commitment to work in our culture. Also, we’re less than two weeks away from the 2024 Presidential Election so Fr. Leo dispenses a little fatherly advice on picking a candidate and voting.
Based on his conversation with Fr. Leo about employing young people, Gus invites listeners who’ve employed young people to call in and share their experiences.
Later, Bob Dunning joins the program to talk a little college football with Gus. They start off talking about Army and Navy both being undefeated thus far. They also talk about the struggles going on at Alabama and Oklahoma and pick the winners of this weekend’s biggest matchups.
