Gus talks about the death of SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg who passed away from ALS on November 26th. Gus' two sons grew up on SpongeBob, which, over time, made Gus a fan. He invites listeners to call in and share their favorite cartoon was growing up. Gus' favorite, by the way, was Speed Racer.
Gus also talks about some Catholic news items of note, including a second miracle attributed to Blessed John Henry Newman and a ring that belonged to Pontius Pilate that was discovered at a site near Bethlehem but only transcribed recently.
And, it's a common misconception that Catholics don't know Scripture but Gus always refutes that notion because of all the Scripture that's used during mass. He invites listeners to come on and complete a Scripture verse used every day at mass.
We also hear from Bob Dunning who predicts the winners on Conference Championship Weekend in college football.
