Gus and part of his pilgrimage group got inadvertently split up and he and Michelle ended up in Palermo, Sicily, which is that town in which Michelle’s grandmother grew up. She joins Gus and talks about what she experienced in Malta, the beauty of Sicily and the city of Taormina. He also talks about a very unique church they visited that is so unique to Sicily. It’s Santa Maria de la Roca, which translates as Our Lady of the Rock, which is literally built into the side of a mountain.
And, perhaps the most popular segments on Seize the Day is Conversion Corner where Gus talks with people about the circuitous path that led them to the Catholic faith and that continuous often on pilgrimage. Gus talks with Scott and Shar Sweeney about what led them to their respective conversions.
