Gus plays an audio clip from the audio book version of his Magnetic Christianity. It's Chapter 11: Encouragement, which is the focus of today's First Reading from St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews. Afterwards, he invites any listeners who need encouragement to call in.

Also, it's a special time in the Lloyd household that occurs annually. Today is his and Michelle's youngest son John's birthday. Tomorrow is their oldest daughter's birthday. There's a 13-year age gap between the two of them. Gus invites listeners with large age gaps between siblings and/or children to call in and talk about it.

And Mark Brumley, president and CEO of Ignatius Press, calls in to talk about Cardinal George Pell who passed away on Tuesday. He and Gus talk about his wrongful conviction for sexual abuse of a minor in his home country of Australia, which was eventually overturned by their Supreme Court and what his legacy will be. Cardinal Pell wrote about this time of his life in his recent prison memoirs, published by Ignatius Press.
