Today, Gus looks back at some Seize the Day/Spirit FM memories by playing several audio clips from the past. He also brings in original Catholic Channel host, Fr. Dave Dwyer, who's still hosting the Busted Halo Show weeknights from 6:00 pm ET to 8:00 pm ET. They talk about the early days of the channel, and Gus plays a few clips from their most meaningful on-air interaction with their "Beat the Post" game on the Catholic Channel's 10th Anniversary Show back in 2016. Both were FM DJs in the early 1980s and "hitting the post" is where a disk jockey talks up a song and stops once the singer begins singing.
Bob Dunning also calls in for his final Seize the Day appearance and talks about his time at the channel, hosting "Across the Nation." He also predicts the winner of the college football national championship game.
And we go live to a press conference from St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, where Cardinal Timothy Dolan introduces his successor, Bishop Ronald Hicks.
