Inspired by yesterday's First Reading from the Acts of the Apostles, where Peter and John healed a panhandler in the temple area of Jerusalem. The man was asking for money but the two saints-to-be gave him something better in Jesus' name. Gus talks about his policy for panhandlers, which is to give when he can, which isn't all the time. He also asks listeners to call in and tell him their policies.
Once a month, Gus likes to dedicate a portion of the program to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Gus has admitted several times that he was never a big Rosary prayer, even after his reversion to the Church. That all changed about three or four years ago when he was on a retreat and prayed the Rosary every day. Today, he offers an intentional Rosary for Prayer Time.
