In honor of St. Valentine's Day, Gus invites listeners to call in and share the song that means the most to them and their spouse. It could be their wedding song or just a song that holds a special place in their hearts. Gus couldn't remember his and Michelle's song and calls her up to ask her. She couldn't remember either so Gus charged her with coming up with a new one and to call him back later in the show. She indeed calls him back and you can find out the big reveal by clicking here. Gus even brings producer Scooterman on the air to play his special love song for his wife.
Also, Gus gives an update on the Covington Catholic School/Nathan Phillips/Washington D.C. incident, which occurred back on January 18th. The Diocese of Covington, Kentucky hired a firm to perform an independent investigation and the results were released yesterday. After interviewing everybody involved, witnesses and examining all the video taken at the scene, the firm exonerated the students. No evidence could be found of them instigating the confrontation between Nick Sandmann and Native American activist Nathan Phillips or of them chanting "Build the wall" or anything racist or inflammatory. Interestingly, after several attempts, Nathan Phillips did not return any requests to participate in the investigation.
St. Valentine, pray for us!
