Dr. Paul Kengor calls in to talk with Gus about his new book, “The Stigmatists: Their Gifts, Their Revelations, Their Warnings,” available from TAN Books. The stigmata on the wounds of Christ from his Passion on a person. Over the centuries, a handful of men and women bore those painful wounds and Paul’s book shares their experiences and what it was like for them. Many of these people are now saints and the wounds opened them up to revelations from God, which served as warnings and prophecies.

Also, today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary so Gus talks a bit about the history of the feast day, which dates back to the 16th century when it was originally known as the Feast of Our Lady of Victory. For centuries, it commemorated the Battle of Lepanto where a small European fleet known as the Holy League, fended off an attack by the much larger Ottoman navy. The Holy League credited the victory to the Blessed Virgin Mary after Pope Pius V encouraged all of Europe to pray the Holy Rosary in the days and months leading up to the battle. Since 1960, it’s been known in one form or another as the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Gus talks about the importance of praying the Rosary to him and encourages others to do it. Later on, Gus gives an explanation and teaching of the Rosary prayer.
