Over the weekend, several news outlets pronounced Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election. The USCCB issued a statement congratulating the former vice-president although the Trump administration is challenging the results with recounts and charges of corruption and it has yet to be certified. Gus asks listeners if they think this is a done deal or if it's not over yet.

I do not understand why our bishops do not condemn Joe Biden for saying he a “devout Catholic” who believes in killing babies. I am VERY confused.

US Council of Bishops is a disgrace and should know the Constitution of the United States before making such comments of congratulations. How can they support a person who and their running mate believes in the murder of children unborn and at birth? This is everything against what I was taught growing up Catholic. The church does not allow a divorced Catholic to receive communion after being a victim of domestic violence but will congratulate a person who supports abortion. JFKennedy was a Catholic and to compare Joe Biden to him is the biggest farce I have ever seen. Joe Biden needs to be asked to leave the Church because he does not believe in the 5th Commandment Thy Shall Not Kill. US Council is pushing Catholics away they need to Apologize to the members of the US Catholic Churches.

Although he probably has won, it is totally inappropriate for the Bishops to offer congratulations until the election is certified. The US Council of Bishops is a complete disgrace congratulating as a Catholic, Joe Biden who has and will continue to support the murder of countless unborn. They have pushed me one more step closer to leaving the church.
