Gus welcomes everybody from the Island of Malta for Day One of his Spirituality of St. Paul Pilgrimage. He gives an overview of the role Malta plays in the Acts of the Apostles and reads the Scripture that deals with St. Paul while he was shipwrecked on the island en route to Rome as a prisoner.

Gus talks about a few of the sites they've visited including the Mosta Church, and its Miracle of the Bomb, the Cathedral of Mdina, which is the seat of the Archbishop. He talks about a particular painting depicting the Annunciation hanging in a side chapel that moved him to tears.

He also talks about the struggles Michelle and he endured to get to Malta and brings on Fr. Leo Patalinghug to discuss the differences between being on pilgrimage and being on vacation.
