Gus is joined by Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio, aka Dr. Italy, of Ascension Press who calls in to talk about 16 Fun Facts of Pope Leo XIV. The former Cardinal Robert Prevost, a Chicago native, was elected the 267th successor to St. Peter last Thursday and Marcellino just happened to be hosting a pilgrimage in Rome when white smoke appeared from the Sistene Chapel. He shares what that was like as well as some of the things about our new pontiff to humanize him. For instance, he enjoys tennis, went to college at Villanova University, is a Chicago White Sox fan and he enjoys playing Wordle.
Afterwards, Gus opens up the phones for an open forum about Pope Leo XIV and invites listeners to call in and share their thoughts about him since the election.
And it's Monday so Gus does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
