Gus is joined by Fr. Leo Patalinghug and they talk about the Feast of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, which is this Friday. Even though it's in the middle of Lent, Fr. Leo encourages Catholics to celebrate this feast the same as you would any other. They also discuss the state of Catholicism in Ireland, get an update on his food truck ministry, Plating Grace & Grub, and the inexplicable decision made by St. Peter's Basilica to no longer allow private masses in the side altars or masses in the extraordinary form.
Gus also does a round of Tell Me Something Good and, in light of the recent decision made by St. Peter's Basilica, invites listeners who've been there to call in and share their experiences.
And, Gus reads and reflects on a recent article published in the National Catholic Register, entitled "10 Things to Remember Before Deciding Not to Return to Mass." As COVID restrictions begin to subside, and people have developed an attachment to live-streaming mass, the article seeks to answer misconceptions about not having to physically go back to mass once the obligation is reinstalled.
