Catholic author Scott L. Smith calls in to talk about his new book, “Near Death Experiences,” available from Sophia Institute Press. The title is self-explanatory, but Scott, the Louisiana attorney and co-author with Fr. Donald Calloway of “Consecration to St. Joseph for Children & Families,” explains that, before writing this book, he’d heard from so many fellow Catholics that there weren’t any books about near-death experiences. There have been individual ones, but no comprehensive ones that share various stories. Scott interviewed several Catholics, including priests and laypeople, who went through near-death experiences and also shares some Biblical ones and some of those that saints experienced. Gus also shares his own personal near-death experience with Scott.
Afterwards, Gus invites listeners to call in and talk about a near-death or out-of-body experiences they’ve had.
And it's Monday so Gus does some Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
I came across a story about Madison Taylor Brooks recently and remembered you were talking about near death experiences at some point. She was a 14 year old that died in a car accident and went to meet Jesus for a time and His message with her was about how the Evil One’s forces are hanging around just about every device. Not too farfetched with the current screens and devices.
Perhaps started with the TV, then AOL starting up and now at the palm of our hands/wrists and or in front of our eyes with the Google glasses.
At 14 that young lady spent a year of her life on devices.
I may check out that book, if anything, for the messages that people were told.
