Gus talks about the Catholic Church's rules of fasting before receiving the Eucharist, which, according to canon law, is one hour before consuming it. Gus asks listeners if they believe that means one hour before mass starts or one hour before actually receiving communion.

Later, Gus does a round of Tell Me Something Good and, afterwards, does a variation on it and he wants to know what his listeners are thankful for. He says Thank you Jesus for ______, and asks them to fill in the blanks.

It is one hour before Mass starts. So if I am going to the 5 pm Vigil Mass that means I can’t eat anything from 4 pm until after Mass is over. I am a convert and I take these things very seriously.

Your show on FB has added so much to our prayer life. We watch it after dinner and feel like we are understanding God’s word so much better with your help.
    Thank you,
