Today is the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, which is special in Gus’ life because it’s also the anniversary of his bride Michelle’s conversion back in 1987. Gus tells the story about how, a couple years before that, his young daughter had a near drowning death experience that really shook them. With both being raised Catholic, they went to mass the following Sunday as a gesture of thanksgiving, but they quickly returned to their pagan ways. Two years later, at a jewelry party and met a woman who shared her daughter’s near-death experience and subsequent religious conversion, which really touched Michelle. She quickly pledged her life to Jesus Christ through a non-denominational Christian church. A couple months later, Gus joined her, which eventually led to their return to the Catholic Church. They attribute Michelle’s reversion to St. Mary Magdalene so Gus asks listeners if they have any important days in their life that correspond to Church feast days.

Also, Gus is joined by Deacon Myles Pocta. He is a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, and the president of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Assisted Living. Recently, he has taken two pilgrimages on the Camino de Santiago, and he shares many of his incredible stories with Gus and the listeners and the inspiration he and others with him received.

And it's Monday so Gus does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good.
