This past Saturday, there was an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The bullet fired from an assault rifle nicked his right ear and several stray bullets struck three people in attendance, killing one, Corey Comperatore, an ex-fire chief from nearby Buffalo County. Gus talks about how it was a miracle the former president wasn’t killed and questioned how a 20-year-old kid could get to the point where he wanted to assassinate a political leader. One theory he proffered was that he’s probably heard from political leaders and the media that "Donald Trump is Adolph Hitler" and “a threat to our democracy” since he was 10 years old. Gus asked, if you could go back in time and assassinate Hitler, would you? Perhaps this young man believed he could make a name for himself by getting rid of a scourge on society. He opens the phones up for listener reaction.

Later, Gus talks with Brian Walsh, the campaign coordinator for Dynamic Catholic’s Consecrate America Campaign, who calls in to talk about their Consecrate American Campaign. We are in the middle of a Eucharistic Revival and only a few days away from the 10^th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brian shares what a consecration is and does as well as their goals, which is to get a formal consecration by the USCCB, get one million Catholics personally consecrated and have every country in the world represented by a pilgrim when they consecrate the world to the Eucharist in Fatima in late October.
