Gus is joined by Fr. Frank Mann, a retired priest in the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York. Last week, he gave the closing prayer at President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony. He and the 45th and 47th president formed an unlikely friendship several years ago after Fr. Mann noticed Trump’s family gravesite in Queens was overgrown and uncared for. It included the graves of his grandparents, parents and older brother Fred. He brought a weed whacker and some decorations and fixed up the plot and then took a photo and sent it to him. Soon afterwards, Trump called him up and invited him to Trump Towers to thank him and the two forged a friendship that has lasted through the years. He also talks about his experience at the inauguration and his approach to the prayer. He also shares his vocation story, which includes and inspirational meeting he had with legendary filmmaker Frank Capra.
Also, this past Friday was the 52nd March for Life in Washington D.C., which always features a flurry of speakers at the rally from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. This year’s keynote speaker was Vice President JD Vance. Gus plays his full address.
And it's Monday so Gus does a few rounds of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
Gus,
Great interview this morning with Fr. Mann. I, too, like to walk in our local cemetery.
On another note, considering it is Catholic Schools Week … you should contact Mgsr. Richard Lopez who put about 30 years into teach at Saint Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta. Anyone and everyone in the Atlanta area who is Catholic … knows this rock star of a priest. The most humble person I know on this planet.

Gus, I could write a book regarding your interview with Fr. Mann but will just use one of your favorite terms and say that was beyond the pale!
